Tri-District Camporee

Over the weekend the Scouts of Troop 279 participated in the Tri-District Camporee. A camporee where scouts from Montreal, Vermont, New Hampshire and New York got together for a Beach Party themed camporee in Burlington, Vermont on the shores of Lake Champlain. The scouts competed by creating the best beach themed campsite gateway, the best beach themed meal and the Travois race. The Travois race put many of the important skills learned in Scouting to the test. These skills included: lashings, fire starting, first aid, teamwork, good sportsmanship to name a few. We look forward to attending the camporee to be held in Montreal next year!
